Home sweet home

Back in cooold Stockholm after the best holiday EVER!
Actually the weather wasn't that bad, but I guess there is a BIG difference between the hot 30C in Australia & Fiji and the 0C in Sweden! Oh yes!
We also got to experience a good round of jetlag. The best kind. Waking up fresh as a button every morning at 4 or 5 รณ clock and almost falling asleep at work after lunch.
Now everything is "back to normal" and although it was very nice to get home to our own bed, we really really miss Australia and all the lovely people.
We hope to come back some day soon.
Until then, this trip was truly an experience of a lifetime and we will treasure it in our memory for ever.

Roger over!

Hong Kong All in One

9 hours in Hong Kong before flying to Heathrow and then Stockholm.
You can actually do a lot in 9 hours.
Leave the airport, catch the bus to Tung Chung Station, take a round-trip with the Ngong Ping 360 Cable cars (with glass bottom), walk to the Hong Kong Shopping Outlet, eat a lovely lunch, enjoy a major shopping spree and take the bus back to the airport in time to catch the flight home :)

Goodbye Fiji

Now we are back in Nadi, spending our last night in Novotel.

We have loved Fiji. Rain season and all. Hope to come back some day.

Stylish transfer

The normal transfer between Nadi and Nanuya Island is a 5 hour boat trip.
Seeing that we didn't enjoy our last boat trip on the way out (in stormy weather & high sea) and that we discovered a much cooler way to travel, we changed our transfer plans back to Nadi.

From this...

To this...

We call that leaving in style!

On our way

Leaving Nanuya Island today and heading back to spend our last night in the main Island before flying to Hong Kong tomorrow morning.
Can believe how quickly these 6 weeks have passed!

Keeping busy

Our days on Nanuya Island consist of snorkeling, relaxing on the beach, catching fish (that the chef prepares for dinner) and hanging out with all the fun people staying here with us.

In the evening the locals play music while everybody drinks the local "wine" (a powder made from a local root fruit mixed with water) which makes your mouth go numb!!!

Paradise

After the first night in the Fiji main Island, we left Port Denareu and took a ferry transfer to our little island, Nanuya Lalai.
This is truly paradise. We are staying in a "bure" overlooking the beach and with a maximum island capacity of 24 people, the island is never crowded.

Today we went shark diving, which hands down, has to be the coolest thing we have ever done.
Feeding sharks at 22 meters with a good visibility allowing us to see everything! Loads of tropical fish, trigger fish, morenas and more than 10 lemon sharks and black tip sharks.

Touch down Fiji

Some pictures from 747-400.

We have checked in at Sofitel Resort, and have stayed in the room today... Raaaaaaaiiiining.

Hopefully the weather will change for tomorrow. Nana, please do your magic.
We have a boat transfer to one of the small islands here where we will spend the next 5 nights.
